EUROPEAN ORDERS - Update 8th January 2021

The EU-UK Trade and Cooperation Agreement was very welcome but leaving the Single Market and Customs Union still requires significant changes to the way your parcels are taken cross-border. It's been a challenging few days for our international operation to process your data for parcels bound for Europe and the Republic of Ireland.

This has placed extra pressure on our turnaround and transit times. Unfortunately as a result we will be pausing all European orders until this issue is resolved with our couriers.

As a company we would not want to disappoint customers and in addition to this we are seeing delays and congestion at UK ports and more rigid requirements for channel crossings. Designer Childrenswear feel that it would be unfair to process customers orders and not be able to fulfil your order. 

We do hope this new transition is rectified and look forward to welcoming your orders again in the very near future.


Orders placed Monday to Friday up to 2pm BST (excluding bank holidays) will be dispatched within 24hrs. Orders placed after 2pm BST on a Friday will be dispatched the following Monday. There may be a delay on dispatching during busier periods such as holidays, sale and Black Friday.

If a package exceeds the maximum weight we may contact you for extra postage costs, depending on the destination of the package.

  • All parcels are sent securely and are insured with tracking
  • All parcels are dispatched and a unique tracking number will be emailed to you. This tracking number can be used to track your order from the courier who is shipping your item. If for any reason you do not receive any correspondence please contact our customer service team to confirm your order has been successful.
  • All parcels are dispatched and require a signature as proof of delivery. No parcels will be left without proof of delivery.

We deliver to any country, if for any reason you are unable to select your country on our checkout system, then please contact us and we will resolve this quickly for you.

Parcels returned to Designer Childrenswear 

If a parcel has to be returned to us, this is because the customer:

  • Has not collected the item.
  • Is not available when delivery attempt is made.
  • The wrong delivery and or contact details have been entered.

 Any extra postage related costs that Designer Childrenswear incur to retrieve the parcel will be payable by the customer. 

Customs and Duties

Once your parcel arrives in your country it may be liable to Customs Duty and Tax. Its is your responsibility to pay this. Your item may be held at your local Customs office until this has been paid.
