Brian Smith, a young, Australian surfer, first founded UGG in 1978.  The idea originated from traditional Australian ugg boots, which were used by surfers to keep their feet warm and dry.  Smith believed that his love of surfing and sheepskin would one day be shared across the globe, so set up UGG in Southern California, a haven for surfers.  By the mid 1980s, UGG had become a symbol of the relaxed Southern Californian culture.  Fast forward to the early 2000s, UGG began to take the fashion world by storm by offering not only their classic boots and slippers, but fashionable luxuries too.  UGG could soon be found on the pages of Vogue magazine, a real symbol of the company's growing success.  Today, UGG is a global name, with stores all across the globe.  Loved for their wearability and practicality, UGG boots are still a surfers choice, but are now also the perfect winter shoe, ideal for keeping feet cosy during the coldest of months.  And that’s not all, UGG have also adapted their brand to offer sandals, pumps and loafers for summer, as well as loungewear and homeware too!  UGG Australia kids (now known simply as UGG) offers the UGG experience for children, from newborns to teenagers.  With many of the most popular pieces from the parent collection being recreated for children, UGG offers the classic boot in a range of colours and lengths alongside, sandals, sliders, slippers and classic leather boots, all available at Designer Childrenswear.
