Wild and wonderful, nothing says stand-out style quite like Moschino. Encouraged into fashion by Gianni Versace, Franco Moschino started off selling casual wear and jeans before eventually expanding into perfumes, eveningwear, shoes and lingerie. Moschino (the man) was a character and was often referred to as a contradiction; he poked fun at the fashion set, yet many of these people were in actual fact, his customers. Still, his collections were highly sought after, particularly during the eighties when he designed pieces that are now considered to be synonymous with the time. Franco Moschino passed away in 1994 at the age of just 44, and whilst the business was handed to his second in command, Rossella Jardini, the brand struggled to retain its success. It was only when Jeremy Scott took the helm as creative director in 2013, that Moschino became the brand that we know and love it as today. Scott embraced everything that was originally laid out by Franco Moschino and ran with it, taking the brand back to its headline-grabbing roots. Moschino is now one of luxury fashion’s most talked about brands. With campaigns featuring the re-interpreted Barbie, McDonalds and Coca-Cola logos in recent years and celebrity faces such as Miley Cyrus and Katy Perry collaborating with Scott and championing the brand, Moschino is certainly here to stay. Moschino Kids embraces the Jeremy Scott style codes in perfect mini-me fashion. From the ‘This Is Not A Moschino Toy’ Moschino toy teddy motif featured across baby and teen wear, to cool mini-me Moschino couture and the Moschino teddy sock trainer, Moschino is a perfect choice for mini-fashionistas everywhere.
