Fendi was founded in Rome in 1925 by couple Adele and Edouardo Fendi. Known then as a quality fur and leather goods shop, over the years the family ran brand has steadily become a fashion power house. From 1946, the company was run by the five Fendi sisters, children of Adele and Eduardo, Anna, Carla, Franca, Alda and Paola. The sisters appointed Karl Lagerfeld as creative director of women’s ready-to-wear in 1965, when the designer was relatively unknown. It was a match made in heaven and Lagerfeld continued to work with Fendi until his death in February 2019. After Lagerfeld's death, it was Anna’s daughter, Silvia Venturini Fendi, that was interim head of the house. After years of working alongside Karl Lagerfeld and being the designer that came up with the iconic Fendi baguette, it’s safe to say the brand’s success is here to stay. In fact, it was Silvia Venturini Fendi that designed Fendi kids clothes and launched the first kids collection in 2011. Featuring the famous double-F logo and many of the key Fendi style codes, Fendi kids is a great extension of the brand’s aesthetic. Today, Kim Jones is at the helm of the house, after being appointed in Septemer 2020.
Fendi baby clothes are perfect for the littlest of trend-setters with rompers, changing bags and prams available that all feature the iconic FF print. For Fendi boys, it’s like stepping out from the pages of a fashion magazine with many styles filtering down directly from the menswear collections. Boys Fendi tracksuits all incorporate the classic logo, usually set against a palette of classic neutral tones. And for Fendi girls there is a similar aesthetic, with cool Fendi leggings and jogging pants that would look perfect teamed with logo-trimmed t-shirts and a pair of classic Fendi kids trainers. Fendi kids clothes are available from baby to teen; perfect for mini-fashionistas everywhere.
