Mallet Trainers were an answer to a problem for trainer enthusiast Tommy Mallet.  Looking for a stylish ‘evening’ trainer, when all options failed to hit the brief, he decided to put pen to paper and design his own, despite having no previous design experience.  Sharing the idea with a friend working in footwear, the pair combined their talents and created a sample shoe.  Impressed with how it turned out, they decided to set up a company and Mallet was born.  Further impressed by feedback from potential customers, two years after launch, Mallet Footwear was retailing both online and in high-end stores across the UK & Europe such as Selfridges, Flannels & Harrods.  With over 120 stockists to date, the brand continues to grow and has been seen on the feet of many celebrity fans, with Craig David, Olly Murs, Eve, Drake & Will.i.am all championing the brand.  Showing in Paris, Mallet is now aiming for global recognition for his brand and with online drops selling out in seconds, the sky is surely the limit for Mallet Footwear.

Tommy Mallet, aside from his footwear brand, is most famously known for appearing in ItvBe reality show, The Only Way Is Essex (TOWIE). He joined in 2014, during the 13th series of the programme. Most of his story lines are focused around his long-term relationship with fellow cast member Georgia Kousoulou and the blossoming romance between the pair, one of the most famous being when he asked her to be his girlfriend by carving letters into pumpkins on the show’s Halloween episode.

Mallet is also known for speaking out against bullying and encouraging children to strive for their ambitions, even if they don’t succeed at school. After openly suffering from dyslexia and leaving school without qualifications, Mallet has proven that hard work and dedication are the keys to success. As well as owning Mallet Trainers and the Mallet brand, he has also collaborated with Belvoir & Co on a line of glasses and sunglasses and is the co-owner of successful Essex nightclub ‘Circuit’.
