Lanvin Kids Has Landed At Designer Childrenswear!
We are so excited to announce the arrival of the highly anticipated Lanvin kids collection here at Designer Childrenswear!
With a design aesthetic varying from street style cool to red carpet glamour, Lanvin is adored by celebrities. A few of these are Kanye West, Kim Kardashian, Usher, David Beckham, Orlando Bloom, Will Smith, Michelle Obama, Beyonce, Gwynneth Paltrow and fashionistas the world over.
Established in 1889 by Jeanne Lanvin, who originally began by making beautiful clothes for her daughter, Marie-Blanche de Polignac. Before long, she was receiving requests to make similar creations for the children of French high society. Eventually she was making ensembles for their mothers and the most notable names in Europe from her Paris boutique. Jeanne Lanvin became an official couturier in 1909 when she joined the Syndicat de la Couture, an exclusive collection of haute couture designers.
Lanvin is now highly regarded as the oldest French fashion house still in operation, drawing on their heritage and contemporary taste to produce haute couture and ready-to-wear collections for men, women and now children.
Lanvin’s current image is down to Creative Director (as of March 2016) and women’s wear designer Bouchra Jarrar and men’s wear designer Lucas Ossendrijver. Their shared knowledge of traditional techniques, mastery of cut and fabric and modern aesthetic have taken the brand in a whole new direction. Football fans might be interested to know that Lanvin is the official tailor for Arsenal F.C. among many others.
The Lanvin children’s collection features a lot of mini-me pieces from the adult collections, including the iconic beaded spider t-shirt for boys and pearl necklace motif for girls.
