Tartine et Chocolat – Sweet and Chic
For forty years, Tartine et Chocolat has been producing beautiful, high quality clothing for babies and children aged up to 12 years. As the first luxury brand for children, delicate colour palettes and the softest fabrics are at the heart of every collection.
Founded in 1977 by Catherine Painvin, Tartine et Chocolat has become the go-to brand for luxurious yet wearable baby clothes. One key theme in the collections is the striped Garda print, borrowed from the designer’s own parents. Catherine opened her first boutique in Paris in 1980 and collaborated with Givenchy to produce the first children’s perfume, Ptisenbon in 1987.
The brand also produced a varied portfolio of nursery furniture and baby accessories, creating a chic, Parisian lifestyle from the moment of birth. Celebrities such as Geri Halliwell and Beyonce love dressing their children in Tartine.
In 2004, Emilie Zannier took over Tartine, giving the brand a breath of fresh air by creating a range of soft toys in 2006 and embarking on an expansion of boutiques and concessions in department stores across the world.
