Kenzo: King of Cool
With its recent resurgence as one of the most exciting and ‘must have’ brands of the moment, Kenzo has reclaimed its crown as the king of all things cool. Long since a cult source of ‘it’ pieces for stylists and fashion followers alike, and under the current creative steerage of directors Humberto Leon and Carol Lim, Kenzo has returned to thrill us with some of the most iconic and bold looks of the current season.
With a huge celebrity fan base, from Hollywood, to the fashion and hip-hop community, it has become a regular staple in the wardrobes of everyone from Beyonce, Miley Cyrus, Jay-Z, Swiss Beats (pictured below), Jessica Alba and Kate Bosworth.
The kid’s collection is no different. Inspired directly by the motifs found in the adult shows, from sizes baby to junior, and using a pallet of urgent, primary colour, we find the African jungle influence (the iconic tigers head sweatshirt being possibly the ultimate must-have of 2013), a revisiting of the brands Japanese origins through the mischievous leaping fish design and the evolution of the nu-tribal, evil eye motif, which caused a fashion fracas last season – as its sweatshirt sold out world wide. This all translates into an uber cool, versatile range easily woven into many looks and styles.
Here at Designerchildrenswear.com, we carry the full range of Kenzo kids, including the iconic sweatshirts and caps – perfect with skinny jeans and trainers, as well as the beautiful baby range, and a striking girls range featuring the stunning jungle print and current pastel shades.
